Is it about the leader or the team?
Updated: Jul 8
I'm a harmonizer by nature. I don't particularly appreciate rocking the boat. My happy place is when people are in good moods, and everyone is getting along.
I will never run the risk of being labeled as a "firebrand." What's a firebrand? "A person who is passionate about a particular cause, typically inciting change and taking radical action."
That's not me. Sure, I'm passionate about many things in life. I just don't want to try to sell you on my passion. I don't get fired up trying to convince people about baseball's greatness, how much better certain coffees taste when made by hand, and why Ted Lasso is a great TV show.
I say all that because lately, I’ve had an idea rattling in my head that is not very harmonizing. I'm beginning to wonder if leadership is really that important? Is the whole notion of leadership's importance real or just a sham to make people with titles feel better about themselves?
When I get ideas like this, I like to run them by Adam Landrum. This week on Here's What I'm Seeing, he's is back, and we discuss those questions mentioned above.
This episode is a tad off-brand for me. However, I think I might be on to something. Check it out below.
